We are commodity traders dealing mainly in import and export of rice, sugar, oil, wheat flour, tomato paste, pulses, lentils, maize, salt, semolina and other essential commodities. We are also able to source any product that our customer requires, even if it is out of our normal scope of business.

Apart from sourcing, we have a team who are experts in logistics, in terms of both sea-freight and in-land haulage and therefore, we are able to offer very sharp cost & freight prices. Although based in Mauritius, we trade with countries all over Africa.

Ascent Group was incorporated in 2003 and is a privately owned limited company. We have been in the commodity business for over 20 years and have played a major role in supplying a wide range of commodities to the African region. The company has grown steadily over time and now boasts a yearly turnover averaging around USD 100 million.

Ascent Group has also evolved in the last few years and have been involved in exports of pulses and cereals like beans, green grams, sesame seeds and chia seeds to various parts of the world.
